Encounters with Angels
Angels are firmly established characters in the Judeo-Christian faiths, mentioned many times in both the New and Old Testaments. Most often they are just messengers ("angel" means messenger), but many believe that angels are spiritual beings who watch over us and sometimes come to our assistance in times of need. "When I was about seven, I used to be curious about the Easter Bunny," says Mike. "So one night I pulled an all-nighter. All of a sudden I heard hopping downstairs. I was confused; I didn't hear the door open. Then I heard something hop up the stairs. I started to pinch myself: yes, I was awake and cold and I started to sweat, a bit overwhelmed.
