So this time we have a little bit about Christmas and more ghostly
stuff for you!

Christmas Time is Coming!
**The Origins of Santa Claus**

Just where did Santa Claus come from? Why do most accounts have him
living at the North Pole? Is there any truth to the stories of kind
and generous souls who left gifts for children on Christmas Eve? Where
did the reindeer come in, and why does he wear a red suit?

**The Christmas Tree Ghost**

The first incident or encounter happened on December 7, 2004. It was 3
am in the morning, when out of the blue, I woke up thirsty and of
course got up and went to get a glass of water. After doing so, I
noticed someone or some thing was standing just on the left side of
the Christmas Tree and it was staring at my cousin's room with
it's two red eyes and I couldn't make out a face. I tried talking
to it by asking who it was or what it was doing in our house at that
time but I never got a reply. But then it stared straight at me and
that was the time I panicked and shouted my lungs out so that all the
people sleeping at that time would wake up.

Electronic Voice Phenomenon: Can We Hear Spirits?

The controversy of "ghost photographs" have many people searching for
other methods that attempt to prove the existence of the afterlife.
The most popular of these methods by far is Electronic Voice
Phenomenon (EVP).

Most simply defined, EVP's are electronically generated sounds that
seem to be voices. The theory is that the sounds are not heard at the
time they were made, however when listened to through an audio device,
they can be heard at the lowest point on the decibel level.

Much of it can be chalked up to sounds in the background, static, or
sounds from radio transmissions, does that explain every EVP that has
been captured?

Witches Wiccans & Magick ~ Traditions & History

Contrary to popular belief, Wicca is NOT an old religion! It is NOT
the "old ways". Wicca was founded in the early 1950's by a man
named Gerald Gardner. Gardner was initiated into a coven of Witches
that practiced the "old Religion" in England in the late 1930's
when England still had witchcraft laws in effect making it illegal to
practice any form of the craft. When the laws were repelled in the
early 50's, Gardner broke away from his coven claiming that the
information he had received was too sparse for his liking. He then
went on to form his own covens combining his knowledge from the Free
Masons and the Order of the Golden Dawn (having supposedly been a
member of both) and of ceremonial magic. This was the beginning of
Wicca and the start of what we know as the "Gardnerian Tradition".

Wizards Warlocks & Sorcerers

Magic has been around since the beginning of time. Since humankind's
inception, our species has been fascinated with how we as mere mortals
can manipulate what is around us... creating something new and
entirely different. Women who do this have been called "witches" for
centuries... but the art of magic was not restricted to women alone.
Christianity in medieval times referred to any male witch as a
warlock. This word in its Old English origin is "waerloga" (one who
breaks an oath or deceives). In Scottish lore, the word is often
simply used to refer to a male witch. In modern Wicca, the word
"witch" applies to both male and female, and most consider the term
"warlock" an incorrect word.

Dolls ~ Origins, Magic and Ancient Beginnings

Dolls have been a popular toy for many years. They have also been an
item of collection. Plastic or porcelain faces, whether beloved by a
child or sitting in a pristine hutch, they look at us with their never
ending expressions. Many cultures have different types of dolls…
dolls that were never intended to be used as playthings. They have
been used to represent coming of age, as an offering for the hope of
fertility, and in some cases… used to absorb the energy of someone
and create magic. Perhaps the oldest doll (or doll fragment) found to
date is part of an alabaster doll from the Babylonian period. There
are also wooden dolls that have been found in ancient Egyptian graves
that date back to 3,000 BC. These dolls were actually intended for
religious or ritual use, often depicting the gods and goddesses of
their worship. In Ancient Greece,…
