From Stephen Wagner, your Guide to Paranormal
I have never encountered a hell hound, but here is a weird thing that happened to me when I was about 10 years old. I was walking home from school with my best friend, and we were passing by an old factory. Near the curb there was a large metal industrial drum marked with the label of Wolf's Head motor oil. (It's a real thing; look it up.) I joked to my friend, "Wouldn't it be funny if we looked inside and there was actually a wolf's head in there?" So for fun we looked in the drum... and there was a dead German Shepherd dog. Not quite a wolf, but pretty close. And freaky! Anyway, check out the reader report below, the week's news, and the other cool stuff. And don't forget about the Halloween contest! I'm going to keep bugging you until you send in a photo.

Cemetery Hell Hounds
Here's something to keep in mind while you're out trick-or-treating near the cemetery this Halloween. Do you remember that terrifying scene from the original "The Omen" film when Damien's father and the photographer go into the cemetery to dig up the child's grave and are attacked by the hell hounds? Well, Danielle reports a similar experience in a graveyard in Iowa. Go read!

Scientists claim 95% certainty for Yeti evidence
A research team in Russia is claiming that it has found evidence of the elusive, hairy biped known as the Yeti (a Bigfoot-like creature) that they say is 95% certain, according to this article. On their official website, they state they found "footprints, a probable den and various markers that Yetis mark their territory with." Of course, we've heard these kinds of claims before....

The REAL Monsters of Halloween
Think of Halloween and your mind conjures images of ghosts, vampires, witches and monsters. Our modern versions of them have largely been crafted by popular literature and, more influentially, the movies. But like many fantastic characters of myth and lore, they have a basis in reality. Sometimes the true stories of these creatures that haunt our imaginations are just as weird and amazing as their fictional incarnations.
